Bula is the creation of NFL football player, Sione Po’uha. Sione has a track record of hard work and success. Sione has been playing an important part of the Jets Defense for the past six seasons.

Sione’s heritage is from the Island Kingdom of Tonga. Tonga shares the vast ocean of the South Pacific with its brothers and sisters of Samoa, Fiji, Hawaii, Tahiti, Aotearoa, and others. These islands all create the beautiful islands of Polynesia. With the help from an internationally acclaimed beverage manufacturer (the makers of Jones Soda), Sione started Knight Reign LLC and combined the drink of the South Pacific, Kava, with Bula. Together, they bring your customers a great taste and safe way to drink and relax.

Sione treasures the benefits of Bula and relaxation on and off the football field. A lot of other relaxation drinks have melatonin as their main relaxant. We chose Kava and Valerian Roots. We were very careful in the creation of Bula and understand that there is safety in moderation. With only 100 milligrams of Kava extrat, Bula is very much a safe functional relaxation drink. Bula does help with good sleep but was designed to help you unwind,not to put you to sleep.

Long story short, no it’s not. In 1994, Congress passed the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA). What that did is permit the marketing of various herbs and natural sources of drugs as dietary supplements rather than as drugs. You’ll notice on our cans we printed “Dietary Supplement” for this reason and thus not in need of FDA approval. You’ll notice a lot of your favorite energy drinks aren’t FDA approved for this same reason.

Because Bula contains Valerian Root we dont suggest it for children under the age of 3 yrs. Please use parental discretion when giving Bula to children. Bula is safe but just as you shouldn’t allow your kids more then 2 energy drinks per day it’s safe to say the same guidelines apply with Bula.
